Locating Brake Switch Wire on 2016 Mazda CX-9

Im trying to hook up a brake controller to my 2016 mazda CX9, and I dont know which wire to tap into the brake switch, there are 3 wires into the switch. Can you tell me which one? Thanks

To locate the correct brake switch wire on your 2016 Mazda CX-9, you will need to use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test each of the 3 wires you mentioned in your question. You are looking for the wire that shows power only when the brake pedal is depressed and not for any other function like turn signals or running lights.
I was not able to locate what color this wire might be in your Mazda CX-9, however testing the wires is still the best method as vehicle manufacturers tend to change the wire colors they use. With this in mind, going by color is not typically the most reliable option.
