Power and Torque Gains from Using Superchips Flashpaq F5 Tuner SU1845 in 2010 Ford F-150 4.6L
Question:
Looking to buy a Superchips 1842 programmer for my truck, what kind of horsepower gains can I expect on the 87 octane tune and the performance tune?

Expert Reply:
Horsepower and torque increases in your 2010 Ford F-150 from installing a performance tuner like the Superchips Flashpaq F5 # SU1845 will depend on which engine it has. This tuner with the 4.6L engine can deliver gains up to 10-HP and 19-ft-lbs of torque, but in the 5.4L it can bring up to a 37-HP gain and up to 50-ft-lbs of additional torque.
These gains are with use of the Performance setting and with high-octane fuel. When using 87-octane fuel the gains will be substantially lower, but it is hard to give you a specific number since ultimately many variables affect actual output.
