Question:

What type of kingpin does my 5th have? I have a 2007 Cyclone 5th wheel 38ft. I want.to change the kingpin with a air ride or a turret kingpin... I thinks its a Lippert 1116? Please advise.

Trailer manufacturers typically don't give out parts breakdowns of their trailers, so the only way to find which specific pin box came with your trailer is to either find the ID tag on the pin box itself, contact the trailer manufacturer with your VIN, or measure the pin box using our help article, which I've attached for you.

For a Lippert 1116, I recommend the Trailair Air Ride Pin Box, # LC155943. This model has a weight capacity of 21,000 lbs, which is more than enough to handle your fifth wheel, which the image you attached indicates has a gross vehicle weight rating of 18,000 lbs. The Air Ride minimizes chucking, eliminates bounce and jarring, and absorbs road shock for a smoother ride. I've attached a review of the Air Ride for you to check out.

For a turret king pin, I recommend the Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret, # RP61412. This model has a weight capacity of 16,000 lbs. This Sidewinder moves your pivot point an extra 22 inches toward the rear of your tow vehicle so that you can easily make 90-degree turns, even with a short-bed pickup truck. I've attached an article on Sidewinders as well as a review video of the same Sidewinder for you to check out.
