Carrying a Kayak and Paddleboard at the Same Time on a 2008 Honda Accord Sedan

Question:

I have a couple of questions which the answers to will help me make the best recommendations. First, does your 2008 Honda Accord have a roof rack now? If so how wide/thick are the crossbars? If it does not have a roof rack is the Accord a 2- or 4-door? Are you wanting to carry the kayak and the board at the same time? And for the board is it a paddleboard, surf board, wake board, or another type of board?

Thank you for getting back to me with that information. In order to carry both the paddleboard and kayak at the same time you will need a few parts: 1) A roof rack for your 2008 Honda Accord Sedan 2) 1 carrier for the paddleboard 3) 1 carrier for the kayak There are carriers that can hold a kayak or a paddleboard but not at the same time so that is why 2 separate carriers are needed. But we can offset the cost some by going with a lower cost roof rack. For a roof rack that features aluminum aero bars I recommend Rhino-Rack's ROC25 Roof Rack # RR92YR. Then for the kayak I recommend a basic J-style carrier, Swagman Contour Rooftop Kayak Carrier System with Tie-Downs - Fixed Arms - J-Style - Universal Mount Item # S65148. It comes with everything needed to mount and secure the kayak to the roof rack. The J-Style kayak carrier will free up space on the roof rack for a paddleboard carrier. If you wanted a more substantial set up then for the kayak go with the Rhino-Rack Nautic Stack Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs - Post Style - Folding - 4 Kayaks Item # RRS520 which takes up less space than a J-style carrier. Then for the paddleboard I recommend the Thule SUP Shuttle Stand-Up Paddleboard Carrier with Tie-Downs - Roof Mount - 2 Boards Item # TH811XT. I have linked some video reviews for you to check out as well.
