Is Special Adapter Needed to Inflate Firestone Ride Rite Bags
Question:
I recently bought a 2018 class c forest river 32ft camper that came equipped with the ride rite air bags with no instructions or possibly inflation valves. From what I can see I believe a need a specific valve adapter to inflate the bags but was not Provided one from the dealer. Can you confirm if I need a special adapter and if so where can I get one?

Expert Reply:
The Firestone Ride Rite air bags inflate with a standard valve stem like what you see on vehicle wheels/tires. Unless the camper came with a compressor installed as well you should be able to find the valve stems.
Best option would be to trace the air lines from the air bags to see where they go. You should be able to easily determine if they go to a compressor or to a valve stem.
There would be no adapter needed.
