Does Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera HM50002 have to Splice into a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500
Question:
I have a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 quad cab long bed dually. Will I have to splice the HM50002 T-connector to my factory oem wire harness? It looks like its a square connector. See pic

Because of the square plugs on the factory 7-Way on your 2007 Dodge Ram 3500 you would have to splice in Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System Item # HM50002. There isn't an adapter for those square plugs. Part of the instructions, linked for reference, do cover this type of installation. You will need to have a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 or a meter to test the vehicle tow package wiring to make the proper connections.
