Best 4 Bike Rack for a 2015 Toyota Sienna
Question:
currently using Thule Apex Swing 4 bike hanging rack. like the size, but its a pain to put on multiple bikes that require multiple cross bar adapters. So we want to move to platform type of rack. I am currently considering Saris Superclamp 4 bike or Kuat NV 2.0 Base + Addon bike rack for my 2015 Toyota Sienna. Originally was set on Kuat, but am concerned about the ground clearance, weight and how far the Kuat sticks out. We are mainly using for family bike outings, with one or 20 inch bikes plus adult bikes. Which one would be a better fit for our situation?

For your situation and vehicle, I'd recommend going with the Saris Superclamp EX 4, part # SA4026F over the Kuat NV 2.0 Base + Addon, part # NV22G-NA22G at this time.
The 2015 Toyota Sienna has a very low ground clearance to begin with and the height gained from the Saris Superclamp's design will help limit the worries you have about ground clearance for the bikes. Its significantly smaller overall dimensions will also help in parking the vehicle. Additionally, the cradle nature of the rack and ease of use will make things quicker for you when loading up for a family adventure. The Superclamp also is much easier to operate solo, should the situation call for it, as it is much lighter and its tilt-away button is located on the rear of the rack.
The only reasons I'd recommend picking the Kuat NV 2.0 over the Saris Superclamp would be if the amount of sway in the Superclamp concerns you, as the Kuat was significantly more stable on our test course, or if you're very interested in the convertible nature of the Kuat, the most useful if you and your spouse take solo bike trips where you wouldn't need the additional two spaces.
I've included a video review of both bike racks so you can make a full comparison of the bike racks, including performance of them on our test course that demonstrates a wide variety of common driving situations.
