Replacement Trailer Wiring Kit Recommendation for German Trailer to be Used w US Spec Kia Sorento
Question:
Hi, We are currently stationed in Germany. We have a US-Spec 2013 Kia Sorento SX V6 with Factory tow package and are getting the hitch installed next week, but I understand there is no adapter from a US 4way connector to a European 7way trailer plug. Can you give any advice on this issue? I looked at the options with the converter, but the ones I find on your website say will not work for vehicles with LED tail lights. The car has LED tail lights, the trailer has regular light bulbs. Do you sell a converter that will work with this combination? Also, I have been considering to completely re-wire my trailer instead. Do you sell a trailer wiring harnessinch with a 4way flat plug that I could install on my trailer? If so, would I need to get new trailer tail lights as well or would the original ones work? So many questions - Im sorry!

Any time you can get away without using any type of adapter you are better off as that is one less thing to potentially give you issues in the future.
That being said you'll want to make sure US style lighting is legal where you'll be traveling.
If so the part # TL29BK would be an easy way to rewire your trailer to this style of lighting which would work well with your Sorento.
