Recommended Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for Possible Fit on a 2017 Mazda CX-5

We currently don't have a confirmed fit trunk mounted rack for your 2017 Mazda CX-5. However, that doesn't mean that there isn't one that will fit, just the manufacturers haven't had this vehicle to test fit and we have not either. Since 2017 started the second generation of this vehicle, we can't just assume 2016 fits will work.

For a very universal fit trunk rack, I personally would feel comfortable going with the Hollywood Racks Over-the-Top 3 Bike Rack for Vehicles w/ Spoilers - Trunk Mount - Adjustable Arms # HRF2-3 or the 2 bike # HRF2 because of its adjustability to fit so many vehicles and even work well with spoilers. I've attached a video of an install for you to see how it might fit your vehicle.

With this rack, I recommend the Thule Passive Security Strap for Trunk Mounted Bike Carriers # TH533 to secure the rack to your locked hatch. I also recommend a cable lock like # e98891 and a bike adapter bar like # 64005 for any bikes without a top frame rail. This will give you level transport and ground clearance by creating that top frame rail between your seat post and handlebars.
