Brake Controller and 7-way/4-way Recommendation for 1998 Ford F-150  

Question:

I have 4 pin wiring connector and need to pull the marching band trailer this fall and be able to use the electric brakes. I have already determined that I need 118242, 90885, and 3035-P. However, I also need to be able to pull smaller trailers with 4-pin connectors. Will the implementation of these items eliminate my existing 4-pin connector? Are all of the above items plug-and-play? I have also added the Timbren load levelers for better ride. Any other suggestions?

Everything you mentioned would be the correct parts to install a brake controller in your 1998 Ford F-150 with a 4-way. The P2 part # 90885, the 7-way part # 118242, and the harness part # 3035-P.

You could swap out the 7-way connector of the kit with the part # HM40950 which would fit just as well and comes with a 4-way plug too.
