Supplemental Braking System Recommendation for 2003 Mazda Miata

Question:

I have a 2003 Mazda Miata and purchased your 7--6 pin wiring kit RM-15267. Planning to buy and install the SMI stay-in-play brake system as you recommended. Have been reading about battery drain. Do I need to install a battery charge wire from motor home pin to battery terminal. Any chance of over charging?

It doesn't look like Roadmaster ever test fit the Invisibrake in a 2003 Mazda Miata so while I can't say for sure I do have a great option.

The SMI DUO part # SM99251 is a confirmed fit for your vehicle and among the permanent install braking kits we offer for flat towing this is our installers favorite kit. It installs the easiest and works the best. I would highly recommend you go with this kit.

Yes, it would be a great idea to install a charge kit for your 2003 Mazda Miata to keep the battery topped off. For that you'd want the part # RM-156-25 which will run from the RV to the battery of the 2003 Mazda battery. You wouldn't have to worry about overcharging either.
