Does the SportRack Ridge Swing Allow Back Doors to Open on the Ford Transit

Question:

Will SportRack Ridge Swing 4 Bike Rack allow doors on Transit van to open. What other racks will work in this application.

If the distance from the top of the trailer hitch to the bottom of the door is greater than 4-1/2 inches, which is the height of the Sport Rack Ridge Swing, part # SR2415, then you will be able to open the doors without hitting the rack. If it is less than 4-1/2 inches, then your door will not open.

You can use this same measurement to determine what other racks you can use, looking for their "hinge box", "Arm height" or any similar measurement.

I've included our "Best Of" list for the Ford Transit series, to give you an idea of racks that work well with the Transit van frame.
