Tip for Wiring up Trailer 4-Way by Function

Question:

I purchased a wiring harness a few years ago for my truck. I think at one point I removed one of the harnesses from the harness kit. Im trying to match the wiring to my trailer. The trailer has brake lights, running lights and turn signals. I have no electric brakes nor back up lights. Out of my harness of my Dakota, I have blue wire, green, green, white and brown. Looks as if the blue goes to the male ground on my 4 way plug. Brown wire goes to the next lead the white goes to the next lead and green goes to the last. On my trailer plug I have the regular set up, the white goes to the male ground brown goes to next lead the red goes to the next yellow then the green. How would I Hook this up.

The standard way a 4-way gets wired is the jacketed pin is the ground (normally white) the next one to it is the running light circuit and is normally brown, next to it is the left turn/stop circuit and is normally yellow, and finally the last pin is the right turn/stop circuit which is normally green.

You are going to have to wire your setup by function.
