Can a Hollywood Racks Sport Rider 2 Carry an Electric Bicycle With a Hitch Reducer?
Question:
Can the Hollywood Racks HR1450E be used with a hitch reducer for a Class I or Class II hitch? If not, what are my options for carrying an e-bike?

I have a solution for you, but the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE can only be used with a Class III hitch. The reason for this is that there is the potential to overload the Class I or II hitch with too much weight, causing damage to the rack's shank or the receiver itself.
I recommend instead the Thule Easy Fold XT 2 Bike Platform Rack, part # TH903202. The carrier's weight is 45lbs, which will allow you to carry an average sized electric bike and an additional bike, both weighing up to 65lbs each. This will fit directly into the 1-1/4 inch hitch, eliminating the need for an adapter and preserving your hitch's tongue weight capacity.
The Thule Easy Fold 2 is a great choice even if you do have a Class I or Class II hitch because of the loading ramps included and its small folded size, making it easy to store. I've included a video of the Easy Fold 2 so you can see it in action.
