Will a Towed Vehicle have More Side to Side Movement Using a 48 Inch TorkLift SuperTruss Extension
Question:
I have a 2015 F350 dually diesel and a very large Mammoth cabover by Host. I already have the TLF1002 and wondering how this 48 inch extension will do pulling a small toad that weighs about 3500 lbs. I know it has the capacity to haul it, what Im concerned about is lateral stability. I was told that a toad might have more lateral movement then a regular trailer being that the front wheels are free. Any thoughts would be great appreciated.

The chains that are included with the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension for SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Receivers - 48" Long Item # TLE1548 are designed to help the lateral stability to compensate for the length of the extension. Even with them though you might still see a bit more side to side movement from the toad but that is to be expected.
Keep in mind that in order to use the extension you would need to have a SuperHitch Original or Magnum. For the 2015 Ford F-350 that would be either # TLF1002 or # TLF1002-30.
