To flat tow your 2014 Ford F-150 you will need a Tow Bar, Base Plate Kit, Safety Cables, Tow Bar Wiring, a Supplemental Braking System, and possibly a High-Low Adapter. Since you already have a Tow Bar (the Demco Excali-Bar) I will give you a list of the remaining parts that you will need.

For a Base Plate Kit that is compatible with the Excali-Bar and your King Ranch without EcoBoost you will need the Roadmaster XL Base Plate Kit # 495-1A along with the RoadMaster Base Plate to Blue Ox and Demco Tow Bars Adapter # RM-033 and the Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Kit # RM-201.

For Safety Cables I recommend the RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables # RM-643 which have a 6,000 lbs weight capacity and are coiled to help keep them from dragging on the ground during use.

To install Tow Bar Wiring on your F-150 I highly recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will give you a connector at the front of your F-150 which will make connecting and disconnecting the wiring extremely easy and quick.

The Roadmaster InvisiBrake Supplemental Braking System # RM-8700 is a great Supplemental Braking System to use because of how easy it is to get ready after the initial setup. This system works with RVs that have hydraulic brakes. If your RV has air brakes then I instead recommend going with the SMI Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # SM99243. Either way you will still need to install the Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400 as well.

I have attached a helpful article that will help you determine whether or not a High-Low adapter is needed for your setup. Our selection of adapters are linked for you to view if you find that you should need one.

I have also attached some installation videos that you can use as a reference to get your F-150 ready to be flat towed.
