Are the Front and Rear Puck Locations Different Sizes on a 2017 Ram 3500 With OEM Puck System

Question:

You have GOT to be kidding me! They actually designed a difference between the front and the back pucks???? That is just plain DUMB. I intended to use 4 of the loops as HD tiedowns. Now what? Anyone make loops for the other 2 positions?

I contacted both Curt and Reese who both confirmed that there is a difference between the front and back puck sizes on your 2017 Ram 3500. This means that the safety chain loops that come with the Curt # C60618 and the Reese # RP30140 will only be compatible with the rear pucks as that is where Ram recommends anchoring the safety chains.

We do have the Erickson Retractable Tie-Down Anchors for Truck Bed Stake Pockets # EM01003 and the Putco Push-Up Tie-Downs for Front and Rear Truck Bed Stake Pockets # P99901 that you can use for additional tie-down points in your 2017 Ram 3500. Either of these options have a 1,000 lbs weight capacity. Since there are no options to utilize the front 2 puck positions as anchor points this is will be your next best option.

I have attached some demonstration videos for you to review.
