The Replacement Stay-Put Cradle for Thule Parkway and Roadway Bike Carries, # 853-7887, is made of a plastic that is not completely rigid.
The point that connects to the rack is sturdy, but the cradle does have some give to allow for a snug but not too rigid cradle for your bike to rest while mounted to the bike rack.
