How to Prevent Water From Filling Up Inside Lippert Trailair Air Ride Pin Box When Parked
Question:
Lippert Trail Air Pin Box Is there anything that can be done to eliminate the rust water that connects inside the hitch, while it is parked ? I read something one time awhile back, about drilling a small hole in bottom, for water to drain, cause everything after hookup, rusty water all over truck bed .

The Trailair Air Ride 5th Wheel King Pins like the # LC179879 will indeed collect some water during heavy rains.
As you mentioned in your question, one way to prevent this from happening is to simply drill a small hole, using a 1/8 inch to 3/16 inch drill bit into the bottom of the pin box. This will allow the water to drain as needed. This should resolve the issue you are having to with rust and corrosion buildup.
