Can Tailgate Still be Locked/Unlocked with Key with Pop and Lock Electric Tailgate Lock Installed
Question:
On a 2010 Ford F150 XLT SuperCrew, will the key still function with this device installed.? I am concerned that if the electric servo fails at some future date, however unlikely, that I can still unlock the tailgate with the key. Thanks

Expert Reply:
I spoke with my contact at Pop and Lock and he gave me a couple of bits of information. First, for a 2010 Ford F-150, the correct powered tailgate lock is # PAL8250. He also stated that even if the electrical fails in anyway and the key fob does not work, you will still be able to lock and unlock the tailgate with the key.
