We have a brake controller that will work great for your 2017 Ford F-150. The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, # 90885, and the Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers, # 22292, is the brake controller and wiring harness that I recommend for a 2017 Ford F-150.
The Prodigy P2 is a proportional brake controller that activates the trailers brakes based on your tow vehicle's braking action. The harder you press your vehicle's brakes the more braking will be transferred to your trailer.
The brake controller will use the # 22292 wiring harness to connect to your F-150's OEM pre-wired towing connector. The attached video will show the location of the OEM plug as well as demonstrate how to install this brake controller in your Ford.
