This oil cooler is the stacked-plate design, which is the most efficient and smallest in size. It comes with a sandwich adapter that mounts between the engine and the oil filter and supplies external lines for the oil cooler. It also has an assortment of multiple sleeve nuts to ensure proper filter thread size. It does include the correct size for your vehicle, which is the 3/4 inch - 16 engine filter thread size.

The Derale engine oil cooler kit # D15603 that you have referenced comes with a sandwich adapter with a engine filter thread size of 13/16 inches - 16. This thread size is not correct for your vehicle.

The other option you will have is the Derale # D15651 oil cooler kit. This is the same stacked-plate oil cooler as above, but the difference is that it includes a spin-on adapter that allows you to locate your oil filter in a remote location for easier changing of the filter.
