What Towing Mirrors Offer The Most Secure Fitment For A 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe
Question:
Im driving a 2016 Chevy Tahoe LTZ and towing a Rockwood MiniLite. Im currently using strap-on mirrors to extend the view down the side of the trailer, but Im not super happy with them vibration, etc., even though they give me a clear view on the drivers side, and just enough vision on the passenger side. The KS80920 appears to be the solution, but I cant figure out if they will give me a view directly line of sight down the side of the trailer. None of the photos you show have the view through the mirror with the trailer in place behind the vehicle! As far as I can measure, the maximum width from mirror-tip to mirror-tip with the KS80920 in place is 98 inches. In theory that should be *just* enough for an eight foot trailer. But the trailer actually works out at over eight feet wide: the basic body width is 8foot 1, and then on the drivers side, theres the overlap around the slide-out that adds another inch when fully closed, while on the passenger side, theres the support mechanism for the canopy, which is over three inches deep. I think I need to try out the KS80920, and return it if it isnt enough. Ill take photos for you! Its a pity that the designer of this mirror didnt quite think this through far enough. Another couple of inches width on each extension mirror would make *SUCH* a difference!

I would have to agree with you that the K-Source Snap & Zap Custom Towing Mirrors part # KS80920 will offer you the most secure fitment on your 2016 Chevrolet Tahoe. Unlike universal fit towing mirrors, custom fit towing mirrors are specifically designed to encase your factory mirrors for the most secure fitment possible. This custom contour prevents vibration and wind noise.
As the mirror itself is adjustable, you should have no problem looking down the sides of your trailer. You can see an example of this in the in the attached photo. I have also attached a review video of these mirrors for you.
