Tekonsha Brake Controller Adapter For A 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser
Question:
Hey guys, Im just about to take ownership of a new Toyota Landcruiser dual-cab 70 Series, and I need to install my P3 in it. Now, some years ago when I did the same thing on a 2009 LC Wagon - I had to splice into the harness and pull wires from the battery and all that jazz. Dont get me wrong - it worked a treat, but I was hoping there would be a better, more elegant way of doing this. So, my question is: do you happen to know if the same connector which mates to 3017-P exists on the diesel Landcruisers 70 series? Again - I dont mind doing the work, but if its already there, why not use it?

If the 2017 Toyota Land Cruiser has a factory 7-way connector at the rear of the vehicle, then we have a plug in brake controller adapter for the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195. For this, you will want to use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3040-P.
If you do not have a factory 7-way on your vehicle, you will have to hardwire the brake controller into your vehicle's existing harness in addition to installing the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers part # 5506.
