Are Two Power Supplies Needed to Install Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and LP Detector # AT36681

Says in the manual for two powersupplys. Do i really need 2? Is it ok to only use one?

Two power supplies are needed for the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector # AT36681 because if one were to fail it allows the other to act as a backup in case of a gas leak during the power outage.

The manual shows that you have the option of single power source OR dual. With single mine works until shore power is plugged in then faults.

You might want to try checking your converter to see if there is something going on there. Since it works just fine until your shore power is connected that's really the only thing that I can think of, and I even reached out to my contact at Dometic about this.
