Availability of Motorcycle Carrier that Can Work at the Rear of 2004 Four Winds Hurricane

Question:

I have a 2004 Four Winds Hurricane with a V5 hitch that is chassis mounted on the bottom of the frame, It has a roof ladder also on the passenger side rear, my questions: is this too low, will the rack likely drag coming out of parking lots etc? The receiver is 2foot square and sits inboard of the back panel a bit, is there an extension piece that would allow the bike to clear the back of the camper? Not sure how far out it would have to be to clear the bike. Also I will be hauling a 2016 Yamaha Smax scooter and was wondering if the Ulta Fab 48 will accommodate this bike? The wet weight is 350 lbs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The Ultra Fab Carrier part # UF48-979033 is rated for use at the rear of an RV like yours. It has a weight capacity of 500 lbs so in that regard it would work well with your 350 lb scooter.

From the center of it's hitch pin hole to the nearest perpendicular rail measures 5 inches. So you will need to measure out 5 inches from the pin hole on your hitch to see if that would be enough clearance.
