Recommended RV Hitch for Use with Swagman Dispatch Hitch Bike Carrier S64684
Question:
I recently purchased a swagman rv bike rack from you and I want to purchase a hitch for my RV. I think I know which one and where on my RV that I can install it but would like some expert advice. I have pics of my frame that I can send.

Generally it is better to install a frame-mounted hitch like # C13701 on an RV rather than a bumper mounted type like # E-100. The reason is that not all RV bumpers are strong enough, nor are they always rated by the manufacturer for supporting enough suspended weight for a load like a bike rack.
You can check with your RV maker using the unit's VIN to confirm whether or not the bumper can handle a hitch mounted to it, and if so what that bumper weight capacity is. You can also make the same type of inquiry concerning a frame-mounted hitch. You will also want to measure the frame's outside-to-outside width to help you select a frame-mounted hitch. The hitch options include both weld-on and bolt-on installation options. The frame-mounted hitches we offer are available to fit a variety of trailer frames widths.
Your Swagman Dispatch platform bike rack # S44FR is a great RV-compatible bike rack choice.
