Recommended Lug Nuts and Cap for HWT Aluminum Wheel AM22323HWTB

Question:

Hello, Im purchasing your AM22323HWTB rim in a 13 inch to replace the cheap 12 inch rim setup that my PWC Yacht Club trailer came with. I need your advice on 2 questions I have. - What lug nut set should I order to best match this rim? - And, is there a center dress up sleeve or cap that fits when using Buddy Bearings? Thank you in advance for any information you can provide.

The HWT Aluminum Hi-Spec Series S5 Trailer Wheel # AM22323HWTB referenced in your questions will use lug nuts like the CE Smith # CE11051. These are designed for 1/2 inch wheel studs and feature a machined steel construction to resist rust and corrosion.

We do have some trailer wheel caps available like the Excalibur # 319EZ that may work with the Bearing Buddies on your hub. This cap is compatible with the same 3.19 inch pilot hole diameter that is on the HWT Aluminum Wheel. In order to determine if this or any cap will fit over a Bearing Buddy, you will just need to take a quick measurement. On your trailer, measure the length of the spindle that sticks through the center hole of the wheel, from the face of the wheel to the end of the Bearing Buddy Cap. The inner depth of the Excalibur Cap is 3-1/8 inches to the tabs on the removable plug. If the distance you measure is less than 3-1/8 inches, then this cap will work.

I have included a short video review on this product along with a link that will take you to our available selection of center caps designed for 3.19 inch pilot holes.

Lastly, since you plan to upgrade the wheel size on your trailer, I just recommend making sure your existing tires will be compatible with the larger wheels.
