Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 With B&W Gooseneck Hitch Installed
Question:
I own a 2015 GMC 2500 shortbox Denali and its currently equipped with a BandW gooseneck hitch. What would you recommend for a gooseneck to fifth wheel hitch or would you get rid of it all together and have a regular fifth wheel hitch installed? My fifth wheel camp trailer is a 2003 Jayco by Eagle and I often pull a boat behind it? Your recommendations would be appreciated.

Since you have a short bed on your 2015 GMC Sierra 2500 you will want to go with a sliding 5th wheel hitch to ensure that you do not hit the cab of your truck when making tight turns. One of the greatest things about B&W is their idea to make a 5th wheel hitch that sits in the B&W Gooseneck hitches like part # BWGNRK1012-5W that you already have installed on your GMC.
The 5th wheel hitch that was created to work with your B&W Gooseneck hitch is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3400-5W. This sliding 5th wheel hitch will install in the Gooseneck hitch and provide 12 inches of front-to-back travel for extra cab clearance. It also has dual jaws for superior jaw-to-king-pin contact which results in less chucking and jarring. The B&W 5th wheel hitches are known to be heavy duty so you can count on it to last, and it is made right here in the USA.
If you do not already have a 7-Way connector installed in the bed of your GMC then I recommend installing the Bargman # 50-97-410 to make it easier to connect and disconnect your trailer.
