Does the Sleeve for the Yakima Boa Bike Rack Need to be Installed on Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Basket
Question:
Can I mount a Yakima Boa bike rack directly to the crossbar of the Loadwarrior? The Boa comes with a shim to be used on the loadwarrior but it doesnt seem to need it for the bar diameter. Maybe it is so you dont scratch the crossbar.

When installing the Yakima Boa Roof Mount Bike Rack, # Y02065, the tube sleeve is used between the front plastic fork mount and around the bar that the mount connects.
Due to the size of the Yakima LoadWarrior's, # Y07070, crossbar the sleeve is needed to ensure the mount will remain tight after installation.
