How To Carry 2 Recumbent Tricycles On A 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan

I do have an option that will allow you to carry 2 recumbent tricycles on your 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan, however, you will want to place one on a hitch bike rack and one on the roof. I am not aware of a hitch mounted bike rack capable of carrying two recumbent tricycles.

In order to carry a recumbent tricycle on the rear hitch receiver, you will want to use the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider Trike Carrier part # HR1000Z-R-TRKADP. As long as the recumbent bike does not have a wheelbase longer than 74", then this bike rack will work for you. You will also need a trailer hitch receiver if you do not already have one, such as the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75579. I also recommend using the Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock and Cable Lock for Hollywood Racks Commuter, Traveler, Sport Rider part # HRLHPTC to lock the bike rack to the hitch receiver and the bike to the bike rack.

In order to stow the second recumbent tricycle on the roof of your vehicle, you will want to use the SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack part # 298-BT1004 in addition to an extra vacuum cup like the Rear Wheel Strap part # BV1001. To lock the bike to your vehicle, I also recommend using both the SeaSucker Cable Anchor for Cable Lock part # 298-BA0010 and the Saris Cable Lock part # SA981.
