Do Trailer Tires Need to be Replaced With Direct Replacement
Question:
Hello, Currently I have single axle 12foot long box Roadmaster trailer and Im going to replace the 2 11 year old DeeStone ST205/75D15 tires. In your opinion, should I replace them with exactly what was on there or are there better tires to consider ? Thanks for your time,

As long as the tire size is the same I wouldn't be too concerned about making sure you get the exact same brand of tire to replace your current ST205/75D15 tires. If you are using the trailer to travel as opposed to farm work then I do recommend using Radial tires instead of Bias. Radials will run cooler and have a little bit of flex in them to help make the ride a little more smooth. You will also need to make sure that the load range on the replacement tire is the same or greater than what your previous tire was.
For a replacement tire I recommend the Provider ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire # TR20515D which has a max Load Rating of 2,150 lbs at 65 psi and a max speed rating of 81 mph.
