Can 2016 Kia Sorento with Factory Roof Rack Carry Cargo Bag and Surfboard

I have a 2016 Kia Sorento with roof racks. Can I carry both a soft rooftop luggage/cargo bag and surfboard?

As long as there is ample space for the two rooftop cargo items, your soft cargo bag and your surfboard, and so long as their combined weight is within the limits for the roof rack and roof, you can load both. Your Kia owner's manual should indicate the weight rating for the factory rack.

I reviewed an online edition and on page 4-169 Kia notes the factory rack can handle up to 220-lbs provided that the total load is evenly distributed across the rack. You might check your printed manual just to be sure this same capacity applies to your car.
