Can 205 R14 Sized Tires be Replaced by 215/75-14 Sized Tires

Question:

Im thinking of buying the Provider ST215/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range D, the tire on my rim now is a 205 R 14, 109/107, do you know if there would be a fit problem?

You won't have an issue fitting the 215/75-14 sized Provider # TTWTRTM2157514D on your current rims as long as they aren't 5 inches wide. Take a look at the video I've attached of the rim to see how to measure the width of it from bead seat to bead seat. It's not the same rim as yours obviously but it's still a good demonstration.

If the tires will fit your rims, and they probably will, you also need to make sure you have enough clearance for the larger tire. The larger tire is about 3/4 of an inch larger in diameter and about a 1/2 inch wider. Make sure you still have 3 to 4 inches between the tire's tread and the fender as well as 1 to 2 inches between the sidewall and the wheel well.

If the larger tires fit on the rims and have enough clearance they'll fit just fine.
