Both Turn Signals on Trailer Come on When Using Only One of Them

Question:

Hi I just hooked up my converter from 4 flat to 7pin for camper. But I noticed the Left and Richt LED are blinking at the same time when I use either left or right turn signal. That does not sound right. Could it be my wire in my SUV is wrong? I plugged it all in the right way. The only thing thats different is that I wired the white ground from my white wire of my 4 flat to the white of the CURT converter. Since its already a ground. Any ideas? Thanks

Start off by checking your connectors to make sure that they are free of debris and do not have any corrosion built up. If all of that looks good then you will want to check all of your grounds to make sure that they are secure and connected to clean, bare-metal surfaces. Any paint or corrosion could cause this.

Finally if all of that looks good you need to give your 4-Pin flat connector its own ground. Instead of wiring it to the Curt Adapter # C57674 ground it by itself instead.
