Activating Trailer Power Feed in 2006 GMC Trailer Connector

There is no 12v power to charge the trailer battery. Where is the fuse?

Different GMC vehicles can have different fuse/power distribution boxes, or more than one, and so the specific fuse location for trailer 12V auxiliary power can be found by checking the owner's manual and/or the legend on the top of the fuse box.
Also, sometimes GM sometimes uses a red plug or dummy fuse in place of an actual fuse for the trailer battery charge circuit. I have attached a video on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado that shows the red dummy fuse. You can move to the 2 minute and 20 second mark to see our installer replace the dummy fuse. You will want to replace the plug with a 40-amp fuse.
If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2993 you can test the 7-way to confirm that power is reaching the socket at the back of the vehicle.
