How to Attach Thule Pulse to 2017 Mercedes GLC43 With Factory Crossbars

Question:

I have a 2017 Mercedes-Benz GLC43 AMG with the Mercedes crossbars, 3-1/8 inch wide, about 1 inch thick. What hardware will attach my Thule Pulse 315 cargo box previously on my RAV4? While the Thule Easy Grips will span the wider crossbars, they won't fully close at the bottom, they leave a gap. I also see that the top of the crossbars have a 1-inch recessed channel running the length of the crossbars that would accept T-bolts.

The Easy-Grip mounting clamps that are used with the Thule Pulse # TH615 do not need to be fully enclosed around the crossbars of your 2017 Mercedes GLC43. The rack is designed to work with square, round, aero, elliptical and factory bars that are a maximum of 3-5/16" wide x 1-1/2" tall.

Per your measurements, the crossbars on your Mercedes are 3-1/8" wide x 1" tall, which is well within the range of what is going to work. The Pulse also uses load straps for additional security to the top of your roof. The only other measurement you need to make is the spread of your crossbars, which needs to be between 23-5/8" and 34-3/8" for the Pulse to fit.
