What type of bolt / hardware do you recommend using for mounting the base and for the actual d ring? Thank you

The diameter of the install holes of the D-ring part # RR09 are 1/4 inch. Best option would be to use hardware that matches that diameter that also matches the material you want to install the ring to on your trailer.
