Weight Distribution System Recommendation for 2016 Jeep Cherokee
Question:
I have a Jeep Cherokee 2016 with a tow package 4500 lbs and tongue weight of 450 lbsand I want to tow a travel trailer with a dry weight of 3000 lbs, GVWR of 3800lbs and a Hitch weight of 400 lbs. Do I need weight distribution system and sway bar. What product would you recommand. Thanks

We recommend the use of a weight distribution system anytime the the trailer you are towing weighs more than half the towing capacity of the vehicle. You are pretty close to the towing capacities so it would really be a good idea to go with one.
For your towing capacities and your trailer weight the best option would be the Strait Line system part # RP66082 which has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lbs and features only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts.
