Troubleshooting Lippert Level Up Electric Trailer Leveling System Right Front Jack
Question:
My New Montana 380 Th has the 6 jack electric Level Up system. in Auto Retract or in Manual, at times the Right Front Jack will not retract. I found the main connection plug to have black charring from poor connection of pins. at that initial finding, the control panel indicated ERROR RF Jack. I cleaned re positioned the male and female pins to connect and resecured. seemed to work ok but next day its no longer responding in a manual mode. I switched to auto retract and it retracted..... not sure if its that jack or the controller. any suggestions?

Since your right front (RF) leveling jack operates in automatic mode but not manual mode, this tends to suggest that the jack motor and linkage are okay but that the short you found might have caused an issue with the control unit. My contact at Lippert has not heard of this specific issue before; usually it is a case of the manual mode working when the auto mode does not!
You can troubleshoot the RF jack easily enough. Swap the electrical connections for the RF and LF jacks so that each one receives the signal for the other. If the problem moves to the left jack then you know the controller is the problem.
