Question:

I have a bandw turnover ball in my truck currently and I would like to have fifth wheel rails too my bed is 8 feet long is it possible to use the universal brackets and mount them on either side of the bandw mount and still keep both hitches in the truck at the same time?

I have a perfect solution for you.

To utilize both the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch already installed in your truck as well as a 5th-Wheel trailer hitch, I recommend looking at the B&W Companion # BWRVK3500. This 5th-Wheel Hitch will mount directly to the ball hole of the gooseneck hitch for a rail-free installation. It will provide a gross towing weight capacity of 20,000 pounds and an adjustable hitch height of 16-1/4 inches to 18-1/4 inches.

If you would rather use an industry-standard hitch with base rails, you can install the Curt X5 5th Wheel Base Rails Adapter # 16310. This adapter will mount in the gooseneck hitch to supply above-bed base rails that will be compatible with most above-bed 5th-wheel trailer hitches.

I have attached video demonstrations on these products for you to check out.

Please note that a universal base rail kit cannot be installed with the B&W gooseneck hitch in place.
