Where Does Reese Dual Cam Bracket Install on Trailer Frame
Question:
I currently have the Reese Straight line dual cam WD hitch with 800 lb. spring bars that was installed by our RV dealer. My TV still sags a bit when loaded and engaged and when I try to move up a link the cams dont line up with the curve in the bars, cams end up behind the curves and the cams are at shortest setting. Instead of having to redo the mounting of cams and drill additional holes I was wondering if the trunion bars come in different lengths? Or is there another solution. Thanks

Expert Reply:
The trunnion bars of the Reese systems do not come with varying lengths. What you need to do is verify that the the dual cam bracket is mounted in the correct location.
You need to measure from the pivot bolt of the cam arm to the center of the ball hole. That should end up being 19-3/8 inches. Check out the picture I attached to see this dimension.
