Are bike adaptor bars necessary for girls bikes on the Thule bike rack.

Generally speaking, yes, bike adapter bars like the part # UB01 are required when carrying a girls bike as they don't have the horizontal top tube like men's bikes have which makes carrying them on a hanging bike easier.
Exceptions would be if you used a platform bike rack like the T2 part # TH83JV which doesn't touch the bike frame at all and only grabs the bikes by the tires.
