Is an Extension Available for the Ultra-Fab Spare Tire Carrier?
Question:
Can I get this with a 10-inch extension outward to clear my propane and travel trailer front wall? Ultra-Fab Folding Spare Tire Carrier for Trailers and RVs - Bumper Mount Item # UF15-954730

Expert Reply:
There are options for you to transport a spare tire for your trailer, but extensions are not available for the Ultra-Fab Spare Tire Carrier, # UF15-954730. If your trailer will not allow the use of a bumper-mounted carrier, I recommend installing a front-mounted hitch on your vehicle and using a spare tire carrier such as the Draw-Tite # 6715.
If you let me know what type of vehicle you have, I can recommend a front-mounted hitch for you. I've also added a link to a video review of the Draw-Tite spare tire carrier for you to take a look at.
