Installing Brake Controller Using Factory Harness on 2006 Toyota Tundra
Question:
I recently purchased the Hopkins Agility controller p/n 47294 from you. I would like to connect it to my 2006 Toyota Tacoma that has a towing package. The wiring harness that came with the towing package has 5 wires, but the Agility controller only has 4 and the directions do not reference the fifth wire. Toyotas instructions on their harnes label the fifth wire as Green: Headlamp Switch to Vehicle Trail Lamps. Should I leave this disconnected or wire it in with one of the other wires? Thanks for your help,

You would not want to run the fifth wire from your towing package to the Hopkins Agility Brake Controller, part # HM47295.
The fifth green wire that you have found is an illumination circuit, and is not needed. You can confirm this if you like by using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 on the green wire. This wire should only show voltage when the vehicle headlights are switched on.
I attached installation instructions for the # HM47295 below for you to check out.
