The item you selected, Derale Transmission Cooler, part # D13501, would be a great option for your 2003 Chrysler Town and Country, as long as there is room to mount it. The ideal place to mount a transmission cooler for maximum cooling efficiency is behind the grill of your 2003 Chrysler Town and Country but in front of the radiator.
You will want to measure at the front of your vehicle to make sure there is room to mount part # D13501 as it measures 11 inches wide, 5-3/4 inches tall and is 7/8 inches thick.
Part # D13501 is a Class II transmission cooler, which means it is designed to be used when towing up to 3,500 lbs. This cooler will work fine for your 1,300 lb. trailer, but will give you a little more range if you decide to tow anything larger within the towing capacity of your vehicle.
I have linked an FAQ on transmission coolers. I have also linked a video installation of a transmission cooler on a different video to show what is involved in the installation.
