Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller in a 2003 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
Hi, I have a 2003 Jeep Wrangler that I would like to be able to occasionally pull a pop up camper with. Ive been thinking that having trailer brakes would probably help since the Jeep isnt rated for much towing. Would the Tekonsha 39523 controller work well?

A brake controller will help you tow a trailer in a safe manner, but it won't give you additional towing capacities beyond what the vehicle has already.
You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # 118409.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
This will allow you to install the brake controller part # 39523.
