Custom Install Brackets for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Base Rails in a 2001 Ford F-250 with 8 Foot Bed
Question:
I have a Reese model 30051 made 09/2005. Im putting it on a 2001 Ford F-250 Superduty 8 foot box. I doesnt have the under box brackets, just two angle iron brackets. Is that what came with the hitch back then 2005? Or, can you sell me a set of under box brackets? I dont see them for sale on your site, unless I buy an entire kit.

It sounds like you already have the base rails to install in your 2001 Ford F-250 but you need the brackets.
The Reese Fifth Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30051 installs in industry standard rails, like # RP58058, so if this what you have it will work fine once you have the bracket kit.
The custom bracket kit of your truck is # RP50082. And the replacement hardware for the rails is # RP50082.
With an 8 foot bed you don't really need a sliding hitch but it won't hurt anything. You likely won't need to slide the hitch back to execute turns.
