Will Thule Passage 2 Trunk-Mount Rack TH910XT Fit 2009 Volkswagen GLI with Spoiler

Question:

Hello ~ Will Item # TH910XT work on a 2009 VW GLI that has a spoiler? A few measurements that may help... 13.25inch from top edge of trunk to front edge of spoiler. 18inch total from top edge of trunk to back edge of spoiler. Spoiler rise is 1inch at the front edge, 2inch at the back edge. 17inch from back edge of spoiler to top of bumper. Info is appreciated thanks!

If your 2009 Volkswagen GLI sedan has a factory-installed spoiler on the edge of the trunk, then the Thule Passage 2 # TH910XT is a confirmed fit. I checked directly with Thule also and their FitGuide confirms this rack fits your GLI.

If you care to you can add a Passive Security Strap # TH533 to help deter theft of the rack. A cable lock such as # e98891 allows you to route the cable through both bikes' frames and wheels and then secure that cable to either a rear tow hook if the car has one or to the Passage to protect your bikes.

If either of the bikes does not have a horizontal top frame tube (like what is found on a typical boy's bike) then you can add an adapter bar # UB01 to provide a good mounting surface to mate with the rack arms.
