Electric Brakes are Pulsating When Vehicle Hazards are Activated
Question:
I have a 1997 Ford F-800 dumptruck, and I recently set it up for towing a trailer, and I have noticed a few problems: first being the electric brakes pulsing whenever the 4 way flashers are activated. Second being whenever the trailer is attached, the 4 way flashers quit functioning whenever the brakes are applied. Would diodes correct these problems, or is there something else I need to look at?

I have a solutions for your pulsating electric brake issue. Installing the tow Ready Pulse Preventer for Electric Brake Controllers, # 5501, will help eliminate the pulsing in your electric brakes, especially if you have the brake controller set at an aggressive setting.
The attached diagram will explain the basic installation of the pulse preventer for you to review.
